Translating Vishu.....

This year, I choose to share a few well known couplets from poet 'Vailoppilly' Sreedhara Menon, to extend by belated (yes, due to internet failure) Vishu greetings in Face Book.
Responding to this, my Dilli dost, Sathya Prakash sought translation of the couplets....Ho...Sathya, it would be a haunting task, as the couplets are of poesy par excellence..I cann't translate the beauty of the couplets, yet, I am trying it for you....

Nurture grayish, thou, haply,
Be thou drowned in the tremble of wheels.
Let the scent of village wink thou
Like the Cassina blossoms....
Like the Cassina blossoms....

My regrets...Sathya, this is for you. Thanks a lot!
